| went for great morning run in windsor, approx 6k, sunny, no breeze, with my bf and bro-in-laws and learned some neat stuff (how to get to target heart rate, how to train for distance vs speed, why music is annoying while running!). needed 2 walking breaks but they were short. |

| evening run, 15*, drizzle. an excellent run (for me) - 6K in 39:50. no walking breaks and base pace throughout. low point was on the home stretch - it had gotten dark and some jerks in a red 4 door beeped their horn and really startled me. i was on a path beside the road so there was absolute no danger involved - they were just being jerks. |

| pretty good for my first 5K. got in under 30 which was my goal. very hot sun for first 1/2 and found that a bit tough. hardly any breeze. also tough to try to get around all the walkers - not sure why they were in the 25-30 min category! felt like I could have gone a lot further - but not that much faster. next race will be a 10K! |

| have been at a conference all week and have had a hard time getting some running in. did a combo walk/run tonight in the dark. tired all over due to 5 hour nights since saturday but still felt good to get some fresh air and even a meagre 2.4 miles in. am full of kinks and definitely need some yoga. conference ends sat and hope to return to normal monday. |

| easy 6K afternoon, sunny, windy, 40 mins. 60 min weightlifting class. good to be back into training but as usual on weekdays - not getting enough sleep to back up the exercise. (6.5 hrs night instead of my preferred 8). plan to increase distance by 1 K tomorrow. |

| ran 5.3 miles (8.6 K) in 59 mins . first time doing distance of this length and very much enjoyed it. could have gone further but schedule did not permit it. will continue with this distance for next couple weeks. did find it a bit boring and tended to walk when interest flagged. it was my favourite running weather - misty, overcast, about 12 degrees. |

haven't been running as much since the weather turned hot and humid. today though was fairly mild 20 and overcast so managed to get in about 6.5 K - 4 miles - in 42 mins. still the humidity slowed me down a bit.

| a good time - better than my earlier 5K - and especially good considering i was late and had to run 1 K before even getting to the start line. because i was late i had to run with the walkers the first 4 K. didn't have chips for this race so this time is based on my watch. cold and rainy about 4 degrees. ran another 2 K after race. |

| forgot watch but did the usual 7K route today over the bridges and thru campus. a great break from the usual cardio class at the gym. however really must learn to push myself when running - tendency to conserve energy and forget to do intervals. |
